Few educators leave an imprint that extends far beyond the classroom. Late Prof. R. Govindarajulu (RGR) was one such pioneer. As one of IIIT Hyderabad's founding faculty members, he played a defining role in shaping the institute's research culture and academic ethos. His passion for teaching and mentorship inspired generations of students, many of whom have gone on to become researchers, entrepreneurs, and technology leaders.

In recognition of his extraordinary legacy, IIIT Hyderabad alumni have come together to institute the Prof. RGR Auditorium—a collective tribute to the teacher who shaped not only an institution, but also the lives and careers of thousands of students.
